II. Storybook Reading: Cinderella (20 mins)
(Tsujimoto-san will say the japanese version)

A widowed gentleman, who had a good and beautiful daughter, married a widow with two daughters.  Shortly afterwards, the gentleman died, and his daughter was inconsolable.  However, the stepmother and her daughters rejoiced that they could enjoy their inheritance.

They were jealous of the girl for her beauty and goodness, and they treated her like their servant.  They called her Cinderella, because she slept beside the kitchen fire.  Cinderella used to sweep, wash dishes, and cook, but above all she wept, because now there was nobody who loved her.

One day a ball was held at the palace, and all the young ladies of marriageable age in the kingdom were invited, since the Prince wanted to choose a wife.  The stepsisters, thinking that they would be chosen, went to the ball.  Cinderella longed to go to the ball too, but her stepsisters would not let her, and she stayed at home, crying.  She cried and cried but then suddenly, her fairy godmother appeared.  'Don't cry, little one' she said.  'You shall go to the ball.'

She touched her with her magic wand, and Cinderella found herself dressed in a ballgown.  The fairy turned a pumpkin into a coach, the cat into a coachman and two mice into horses.  'Go to the ball, but don't forget that at midnight the spell will break.'

When Cinderella entered the palace, everyone was struck by her beauty, and the Prince only wanted to dance with her.
When twelve o'clock struck, Cinderella ran out without saying goodbye, before the spell broke...but she tripped and lost one of her glass slippers on the staircase.  A minute later, the spell was broken.  
The Prince, who was in love with Cinderella, ordered that all the young ladies in the Kingdom should try the slipper on, in order to find her.
Finally they arrived at Cinderella's house.  The stepsisters tried it on, but without success.  But when Cinderella put it on...everyone knew that she was the Prince's chosen bride.  The next day, the wedding of the Prince and Cinderella was celebrated in style, and they lived happily ever after.

妻に先立たれた美しい娘を持つ紳士は、二人の娘を持つ未亡人と結婚しました。その後まもなくその紳士は亡くなってしまい、彼の娘は悲しみにくれていました。しかし、継母とその娘は彼らから遺産を相続できることを喜びました。

継母と娘は彼女の美しさと善良さに嫉妬し、彼女をしもべのように扱いました。彼女は台所の火のそばで寝ていたので、継母たちは彼女をシンデレラと呼んでいました。シンデレラは、掃除、皿洗い、そして料理を泣きながらしていた。なぜなら今は彼女を愛してくれる人が誰もがなかったから。

ある日、舞踏会が宮殿で開催されました。王子が妻を選ぶため、王国内で結婚適齢期のすべての若い女性が招待されました。いじわる姉妹は、自分たちが選ばれるかもしれないと思い、舞踏会に行ってきました。シンデレラも舞踏会にとても憧れていましたが、彼女のいじわる姉妹は彼女を連れて行ってくれなかったので彼女は家の中で泣いていました。彼女が泣いていると、突然妖精があらわれ「泣かないで、可愛い娘」と言いました。 「あなたを舞踏会に行かせてあげましょう」

妖精は魔法の杖でシンデレラに触れました。するとシンデレラは舞踏会ドレスに身を包まれました。さらに妖精はかぼちゃを大きな４輪の馬車に、猫を御者に、ネズミを馬に変えました。 「舞踏会に行ってきなさい、ただし深夜１２時に呪文が解けることを忘れないで」

シンデレラは宮殿に入ったとき、誰もが彼女の美しさに驚き、王子は彼女とだけ一緒に踊りたいと思った。
12時の鐘がなったとき、シンデレラは呪文がと着る前に、さよならも言わずに走って出て行ってしまいました。しかし、彼女はつまずいてしまい階段にガラスの靴の片方を落としてしまいました。その１分後、呪文は解けてしまいました。
シンデレラに恋した王子は、王国のすべての若い女性から彼女を見つけるために、階段に落ちていたガラスの靴を履くことを命じました。
ついに、彼らはシンデレラの家にやってきました。いじわる姉妹もその靴を履こうとしましたが、履けませんでした。つづいてシンデレラがそれを履いた時...誰もが、彼女が王子に選ばれた花嫁だとわかりました。翌日、王子とシンデレラの結婚式が優雅に祝われ、彼らはその後ずっと幸せに暮らしました。

III: Game->Open/Close the basket:Change places (10 mins)

Rules:
Each mother will form a round basket opening with their arms and hold the child within.  The 'IT' will issue commands: 'Close the basket' - the arms will form a barrier around the child, 'Open the basket' - the arms are raised so the child can run out, 'Change places - the child must run to another 'basket' (other mother's arms) and change baskets.  The person who ends up with no basket becomes the next 'IT'.

ルール：
イス取りゲームに似た、場所を取り合うゲームです。
お母さんはバスケットの役を行います。バスケットは子供たちより一つ少なくなっており
子供たちはバスケットの取り合いをします。
はじめにお母さんは自分の腕を丸くバスケットのようにし、その中に子供を囲います。
一人あふれている子供が鬼となり３つの命令を出します。
①「Open the basket」（バスケットを開けて）
②「Change places」（場所を替えて）
③「Close the basket」（バスケットを閉めて）
お母さんは「Open the basket」の命令がでたら、腕を上げて子供たちが出ていけるようにします。
「Change places」の命令が出たら、子供たちは別のバスケットへ移動しなければいけません。
この後、あたらしいバスケットを取れなかった子供が鬼となり、「Close the basket」の命令をだします。この時、お母さんは腕を下ろして、再び子供を囲います。
※「Change places」のあと、同じバスケットにとどまっていた場合、その子が次の鬼になります。

以上が、このゲームの一連の流れとなります。
